'Strong Possibility' Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins Lands With Ravens
We're just over a week away from the 2023 NFL Draft, but headlines surrounding the Arizona Cardinals are still somewhat focused on the future of WR DeAndre Hopkins.
Hopkins has long been on the trade block, but for various reasons we've yet to see him moved. A trade could be coming soon, but where should we expect Hopkins to land?
Good friend of Hopkins and former NFL corner Adam "Pacman" Jones said on the Pat McAfee Show that the Baltimore Ravens are still a strong possibility after showing interest in him earlier in the offseason:
"Our sources said it's a strong possibility," said Jones. When asked if the term "strong possibility" meant Lamar Jackson would return to Baltimore, Jones said, "I can't speak on that, my sources says that it's a strong possibility."
Full clip:
Jones, a veteran corner in the league, earlier in the offseason listed the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills as landing spots.
Current Bills OLB Von Miller says Hopkins directly told him he wants to play in Buffalo next year.
"You just never know until you know. Hop said he wanted to be a Buffalo Bill and you never know until you get that DeAndre Hopkins signature on a contract. I’m not sure what the circumstances are or what’s going on with that but I would love to see DeAndre Hopkins be here and I would love to have his skill set on our offense with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs and Dawson Knox and Gabe Davis. How could we lose with those guys?" Miller told reporters yesterday.
Tying thins back to Baltimore, Jackson reportedly told the Ravens to sign Odell Beckham Jr. and Hopkins before he would continue contract negotiations with the team - that report stemming from NFL insider Michael Lombardi.
The sweepstakes appear to again be heating up for Hopkins, we'll see where he lands.
