Devin Bush Trolls Steelers After Loss
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush had himself a good time watching his old team suffer a crushing defeat to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.
As the clock wound down on the Steelers' seventh loss of the year and their third in as many weeks, Bush posted a Tweet that didn't contain any words but carried a very clear message nonetheless - he was reveling in their misery.
Bush's time in Pittsburgh was a rollercoaster. A former first-round pick of the Steelers in 2019, Bush was an immediate starter, playing in all 16 games and starting 15. He collected 109 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and four passes defended.
But after an ACL injury limited him to five games in 2020, his production dipped in the following two seasons. Bush started 28 games but made just 151 tackles, four for a loss, over the ensuing 31 games.
The Steelers declined the fifth-year option on his rookie contract before the start of the 2023 season and he was left to be a free agent this summer. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year, $3.5 million contract. And while he's been on the field for just 18% of Seattle's defensive snaps and 41% of its special teams snaps, he hasn't let a step back in his level of play get in the way of enjoying an ugly loss from the team that let him go.
Pittsburgh jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter before allowing 30 unanswered points and losing to drop out of the AFC playoff picture and Bush enjoyed watching it from his new home out west.
