Pat McAfee Makes Huge Offer to Steelers LB T.J. Watt
PITTSBURGH -- Anytime a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers appears on the Pat McAfee Show, there's typically some news-worthy headline that comes out of it. And this time, it was linebacker T.J. Watt, who received an offer from McAfee himself that he'll use as extra motivation throughout the season.
While talking about Watt's impact on the Steelers defense and his superstar career, McAfee brought up the single-season sack record - which Watt holds a share of. The host believes the Steelers' linebacker has another historic season on his hands in 2023, and gave him an incentive to help boost his numbers.
McAfee told Watt that if Watt breaks the record, which currently sits at 22.5 sacks, he will donate $500,000 to the charity of Watt's choice.
Watt is coming off his fifth Pro Bowl season, but missed all but ten games due to a partially torn pectoral that he suffered in Week 1. Still, he finished the year with 5.5 sacks.
In 2022, Watt tied the single-season sack record with 22.5, etching his name with Michael Strahan's. If he beats that performance, he'll hold a record to himself and have a pretty nice charity donation to go along with it.
