Steelers Sign Two DBs After Cory Trice Injury
LATROBE -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed safety Trenton Thompson and cornerback Isaiah Dunn to their training camp roster, the team announced.
Thompson is a safety out of San Diego who went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. In six seasons in college, he recorded 187 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and 21 pass deflections.
He'll now join a banged up safety room for the Steelers that is missing Minkah Fitzpatrick and Damontae Kazee. He'll compete with Miles Killebrew, Tre Norwood and Kenny Robinson for playing time and a spot on the 53-man roster.
Dunn joins the Steelers after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played 29 games for Oregon State, recording 115 tackles and 18 pass deflections. He did not record an interception.
Dunn will replace Cory Trice, who was placed on Injured Reserve. He'll compete with James Pierre, Madre Harper and Luq Barcoo for a depth spot on the roster.
The Steelers also waived/injured running back Alfonzo Graham.
