The Good, Bad, And Ugly: Cincinnati V. Kansas State

The Cincinnati Bearcats defeated the Kansas State Wildcats 74-72
In this story:

TUNNEL HILL — The Bearcats almost blew a 74-72 win over Kansas State down the stretch but played good enough defense to win the game behind a disciplined ball-handling effort.

Check out our Good, Bad, and Ugly from UC's second all-time win over KSU.

The Good: Day Day Thomas was amazing in his second straight outing with five-plus assists He had many big moments in this game including an absolutely insane windmill dunk. He finished the game with 14 points and 5 assists. John Newman also had a great game as he put up 18 points.

The Bad: The defense at times felt nonexistent when guarding Tylor Perry. Perry had 26 points against the Bearcats on 7-of-10 shooting. The team will likely need to shut down runs from specific players moving forward.

The Ugly: Dan Skillings Jr. not being a participant in this game was felt throughout the contest as Skillings has been a key contributor to the success that the Bearcats have put together this season.

They couldn’t put the Wildcats away despite the leads they would get which was also a big headline for Cincinnati. He's the team's second-leading rebounder in conference and UC got out rebounded 37-27 without his services.
