Cincinnati Lands Commitment From Former Ohio State Tight End Joe Royer
CINCINNATI — UC football has a fresh tight end name in the fold as former Ohio State player Joe Royer is committing to Cincinnati.
The veteran tight end has gone through some injury troubles in his career but holds two more years of eligibility after playing 43 snaps this past season.
He tallied a 56.2 PFF grade in 2023 and played 113 total snaps in three seasons at Ohio State. Royer played at Elder High School in Cincinnati and was a four-star player in the Class of 2020.
He should be a nice competitive addition to a now six-man unit that is hoping to get Joey Belgian back to full strength after he missed all of last season with an injury from the spring.
