Winners and Losers From Cincinnati Bearcats' 82-68 Loss to Dayton Flyers

Cincinnati falls to 8-2 on the season.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats lost to the Flyers 82-68 on Saturday night at Heritage Bank Center in downtown Cincinnati.

They fall to 8-2 on the season. Here are our winners and losers from the game:

Winners

Simas Lukosius

Lukosius led the Bearcats with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting. He made three 3-pointers. The rest of the team made three 3-pointers combined.

Lukosius was one of the bright spots for the Bearcats on Saturday night. They need someone to emerge as their go-to option on offense. Lukosius is certainly in the mix and is capable of being that guy some nights.

Aziz Bandaogo

Bandaogo continues to appear in the "winners" column. He finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds and one block. Bandaogo is a difference maker and he makes his presence felt in every game.

Losers

Wes Miller

This game was a chance for the Bearcats to flush their Crosstown Shootout loss to Xavier down the drain. Following a win over Bryant, Cincinnati had an opportunity to make an example out of an in-state team.

Instead, they came out flat. It didn't feel like there was any sense of urgency. That starts with the head coach.

John Newman III

Newman finished with four points on 1-of-7 shooting. He did have five rebounds and two steals, but they needed more from him on offense. The Bearcats were outscored by 11 when he was on the court.

Victor Lahkin

Lahkin finished with four points on 2-of-9 shooting. He was 0-for-5 from 3-point range. He entered Saturday's game averaging 14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and over two assists per game.
