CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football team is losing an important member of the coaching staff right before the start of spring practice this weekend.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, defensive line coach Greg Scruggs is moving on to the NFL. He is taking a job with the New York Jets as an assistant defensive line coach.

He took over as the Cincinnati defensive line coach in 2020 and has been on the staff since 2018. He won a Super Bowl as a defensive lineman with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots during his time in the league.
