Top Analyst Praises Day Day Thomas Following Bearcats' Overtime Win Over TCU

CINCINNATI — Day Day Thomas led the Bearcats to a 81-77 overtime win over No. 19 TCU on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Arena. 

Thomas was one of four Bearcats to finish in double figures. He led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting. He also had six assists, four rebounds and three steals. 

Thomas' performance caught the attention of Jon Rothstein, who wasn't shy in his praise for the junior point guard. 

"Day Day Thomas = Big 12 star," Rothstein tweeted. 

He also praised Fifth Third Arena and Bearcats fans. 

"Fifth Third Arena reiterates why it's one of college basketball's most underrated home court advantages," he tweeted. "Cincinnati over TCU in a classic."

The Bearcats are 13-4 on the season and 2-2 in the Big 12 following the win. It's their second victory over a top 25 opponent in the past 10 days. They also beat BYU in Provo on Jan. 6.
