Cincinnati Among 'Next Four Out' in ESPN's Latest Bracketology Update
CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball hasn't shown enough to ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi through non-conference play. Cincinnati is one of the next four teams out of the NCAA Tournament in Lunardi's latest bracket projection.
The Bearcats are top-45 in the NET ranking but have zero impressive wins after losing their only true non-conference tests to Xavier and Dayton. They sport just one Quad 4 matchup remaining this season as Big 12 play opens with a Q1/Q2 game in each of the first six matchups.
Wes Miller's team is 6-22 in Q1/Q2 games so far in his UC tenure. That has to improve if Cincinnati is going to make the dance for the first time this decade.
