Report: Four-Star Guard Blue Cain Released From NLI At Georgia Tech

Blue Cain will reopen his recruitment after decommitting from Georgia Tech

According to a report from Joe Tipton at On3 Sports, Georgia Tech's only 2023 signee has been released from his NLI at Georgia Tech and reopening his recruitment.

Blue Cain was rated the 94th overall prospect in the 2023 class according to 247Sports and was one of the top shooters in the country. His release from his NLI comes on the same day as Georgia Tech introduced new head coach Damon Stoudamire, who replaced the recently fired Josh Pastner, who Cain had signed to play for. This now leaves Georgia Tech without any signees in the 2023 class.

Cain had been signed with the Yellow Jackets since November.

It will be interesting to see how Stoudamire approaches adding to this team without Cain. He was a good prospect who could have potentially contributed to this program next season and there is going to be plenty of work ahead for the Yellow Jackets' new head coach
