Way-Too-Early Look At College Basketball National Championship Futures Odds For the ACC
Yes I know, the season just ended and UConn has only been the national champion for a week, but that will not stop Vegas from releasing their early odds for the next team to cut down the nets. There is still a lot of movement in the transfer portal and rosters are far from being finalized, which makes looking at the odds a little bit tricky.
Regarding Georgia Tech, they have a new head coach in Damon Stoudamire, and have had a lot of movement in the transfer portal. Out go Rodney Howard, Jordan Meka, Tristan Maxwell, Freds Pauls Bagatskis, and Cyril Martynov. They have brought in a highly-rated transfer in former Florida Gator Kowacie Reeves and NC State transfer Ebenezer Dowuona. Their transfer class currently ranks 9th on 247Sports.

The Yellow Jackets' odds to make a tournament run currently sit at +50000, which is tied for the lowest in the ACC. Boston College and Louisville are the other teams with similar odds. BC was a solid team last season, while the Cardinals were one of the worst ACC teams of all time.
Leading the way for the ACC in national championship odds is the Duke Blue Devils, who were good in Jon Scheyer's first season, but were bounced early in the NCAA Tournament. Duke checks in at +1600. and right behind them is the ACC team that made a run to the final four and that is Miami.
The Hurricanes check in at +3000 and it will be interesting to see what their roster looks like next season as they try to make another run.
North Carolina was the most disappointing team in college basketball last season and needs a bounce back. At +4000 odds, they will be a team to watch next year.
Virginia is next at +6000 and while you can expect Tony Bennett's team to be a good and well-coached squad, they have had a tendency to get bounced early from the tournament.
Clemson is at +12500 and NC State and Virginia Tech come in right behind them at +15000.
Florida State just had a disappointing season under Leonard Hamilton, but he is too good of a coach to have two bad seasons in a row. The Seminoles are at +20000 and one of the ACC's most surprising teams last season was Pitt and they are also at +20000.
Syracuse, Wake Forest, and Notre Dame are at +30000 and the Orange and Fighting Irish will be under the direction of new coaches.
