Live Updates: Georgia Tech Takes on Florida Tech in Non-Conference Matchup

Georgia Tech looks to win their second straight game

The end of February is usually reserved for conference games and getting ready for the upcoming conference tournaments. That is not going to be the case in Atlanta today as Georgia Tech is going to be welcoming Florida Tech for a non-conference matchup.

Florida Tech (16-10, 9-9 SSC) is a member of the Sunshine State Conference and is a Division II school. After a 14-4 start to the season, the Panthers come to Atlanta having lost six of their last eight games, including the last three in a row, to fall into sixth place in the Sunshine State standings.

Georgia Tech is actually playing its best basketball of the season right now. In the past four games, Georgia Tech is 2-2 in their last four games since losing to Louisville and they could be 3-1 if it were not for some questionable officiating calls in the loss to Wake Forest. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a win against Virginia Tech and hoping to win their second game in a row.

Lance Terry, Kyle Sturdivant, Deebo Coleman, Miles Kelly, and Ja'von Franklin are the starters for Georgia Tech today. 

16:57- Florida Tech leads 7-6 and Georgia Tech's defense has been lacking in the early part of this game. 

14:07- Georgia Tech still trails Florida Tech 13-10. The panthers shooting 55% from the field so far
