Where Does Georgia Tech's 2024 Recruiting Class Rank After Recent Commits?

Georgia Tech moved up in the recruiting rankings after two commitments Sunday

It was a big weekend for Georgia Tech Recruiting.

Some big visitors were on campus throughout the weekend and by the end of Sunday, Brent Key and his staff had added two more commitments to its 2024 class.

Three-star offensive lineman Santana Alo-Tupuola (IMG Academy, FL) committed to the Yellow Jackets early Sunday evening and then three-star edge rusher Jordan Boyd (Aiken, SC) joined him later that night. These two players became the third and fourth commitments in the class, joining four-star Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA) and running back Duke Watson (Mary Persons High School, GA).

So where does the Yellow Jackets recruiting class rank after the new additions last night?

According to 247Sports, Georgia Tech currently sits at 32nd, which is good for 7th in the ACC. Tech's average player ranking is 87.53 and the total points assigned to this class so far is 52.13. Only a couple of points separate GT from some of the other teams above them. Watson is the only player not ranked on 247Sports

In the On3 recruiting rankings, Georgia Tech is higher-ranked. The Yellow Jackets come in at No. 22 and the big reason for the difference in the rankings between the two sites is that On3 has Watson rated as a four-star running back.

Williams is a four-star on the 247Sports composite and On3 has him rated as a four-star quarterback and the 10th-best quarterback in the country.

Both sites have Boyd and Alo-Tupuola as three stars.

The rankings for Georgia Tech are similar over at Rivals. They have Georgia Tech with the 32nd-ranked class, with Williams being a four-star quarterback and Watson and Boyd as three-star players. Alo-Tupuola is not ranked yet on their site.

Keep an eye out for how high Georgia Tech can climb, with more visits going on throughout the spring and the summer. Key is hoping to bring in a good first class that will help guide the trajectory of the program he hopes to build.
