Report: Georgia Tech to face Arkansas State in 2027
The 2023 season is just beginning, but some news about a future opponent for Georgia Tech dropped today.
According to Jeff Reed at AStateNation, Georgia Tech and Arkansas State are going to play each other for the first time ever in 2027. According to Reed, the two teams will play on September 4th, 2027 in Atlanta and Arkansas State will receive $1.1 million for the game.
Arkansas State joins Georgia and Notre Dame on Georgia Tech's schedule for 2027. Assuming that the ACC stays at an eight-game conference schedule, they will need to add one more opponent for that season.
In other future non-conference schedules, Georgia Tech faces Georgia, Notre Dame, Georgia State, and VMI in 2024.
In 2025, Georgia Tech travels to Boulder to face Deion Sanders and Colorado, as well as face Georgia, Gardner-Webb, and Temple.
In 2026, Georgia Tech has Colorado, Georgia, and Temple on the non-conference schedule.
In 2030, Georgia Tech hosts Alabama as part of a home-and-home series between the two programs.
Georgia Tech and Arkansas State have never faced each other on the football field.
