Four-star 2024 recruits Jerod and Jacob Smith flip their commitment from Michigan to Kentucky
Jerod and Jacob Smith are twins who play their high school football in Corbin, Kentucky.
They have been committed to Michigan for a while now but decided to flip their commitment from the Wolverines to the Wildcats.
Jerod is ranked as the 141st best player in the 2024 class, while Jacob is ranked 234th according to 247Sports.
Both Jacob and Jerod are dogs on the defensive line and will make opposing quarterbacks' lives miserable when they face the Cats.
Winning a recruiting battle over one of the best programs in college football is a big deal, but the bigger deal in my mind is Mark Stoops was able to keep the number one and two players in the state within state line to play their college ball.
Landing the Smith brothers moves the Cats all the way up to the number 28th spot in the 2024 recruiting class.
There is a lot of work still to do in this class, but landing the Smith twins is a massive step in the right direction.
Jerod and Jacob will play early and often in their Kentucky careers, and the Big Blue Nation can't wait to see these two rock Kentucky blue.
