Kentucky moved up a spot in the ESPN FPI rankings

The Kentucky Wildcats moved up a spot in ESPN's FPI rankings.

After a blowout victory over the Kentucky Wildcats, he moved up from the 41st to the 40th spot in the ESPN FPI rankings.

Kentucky's projected record rose from 6.5-5.5 to 6.7-5.3. The Cat's chances of winning six or more games jumped from 73.8% to 78.2% after the win over the Akron Zips.

After the win over the Zips, the Cat's chances of winning the SEC East dropped from 2.2% to 2.1%.

For some reason, the ESPN FPI rankings do not like what the Kentucky Wildcats have done so far this season, but still think they will beat Vandy as they give the Cats a 78.6% chance to win this game on the road in Nashville.

If Kentucky is able to take care of business on the road and beat the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Cats will hopefully shoot up these rankings as FPI values road wins.

Kentucky still has a lot to prove, but this weekend is a good opportunity to do it while at the same time getting the offense flowing better.
