Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston received SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after his performance against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

This comes as no surprise, as the sophomore from Michigan had two pick-sixes in this win over the Commodores.

Hairston has been one of the best defenders in the conference so far this season, so it's good to see him getting some well-deserved praise.

SEC coaches will learn one thing watching Kentucky's tape against Vanderbilt, and that is don't throw the football to 31's side of the field.

Congrats to Hairston on these accolades, and many expect him to have another big game coming up this Saturday against the #22 Florida Gators.
