Justin Edwards is set to have a monster freshman season, and CBS Sports agrees with this statement as they predict him to be the SEC Freshman of the Year Award winner.

This doesn't come as much of a surprise as Edwards is expected to be one top few picks in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.

Ironically enough, one of the things that could keep Edwards from winning this award is that two more candidates for the award are on his team.

DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw are guys who could win this award if everything went right, which could hurt Edwards.

It could hurt Edwards also just how talented this roster is as not as many points, rebounds, and assists will be available as if he were on a worse team.

Kentucky fans who have confidence in Edwards to win this award might want to bet on it as he is the most talented freshman in the SEC, and if someone else wins the award, it will likely be Bradshaw or Wagner.

This is a Kentucky team of old thanks to all of the highly rated true freshman talent that will play a lot of minutes in players like Edwards, Bradshaw, Wagner, and a few more names.
