Dick Vitale will call Kentucky's matchup with the Miami Hurricanes
Hall of Fame announcer Dick Vitale just announced via his Twitter that he has been assigned to call Kentucky's matchup with the Miami Hurricanes in the SEC/ACC Challenge on November 28th.
Vitale has been battling vocal cord cancer for a while now, which is, of course, just about the worst thing that can happen to a man who speaks for a living.
He spoke for the first time in seven months the other day, giving college basketball fans an update on his health.
In the video, Vitale stated that he would be able to call the Kentucky vs. Miami game, and he is extremely excited to do so.
Vitale is the voice of college basketball and just an all-around incredible human being.
It's going to be a ton of fun to have him in Lexington calling one of the most important games of the non-conference slate.
It's great to hear Dickie V is starting to feel better and is talking again after not having done so for seven months.
Vitale will surely love the trip to Lexington as he will get to see a whole bunch of Diaper Dandies in Kentucky blue showing off their skills.
Kentucky's matchup with the Miami Hurricanes will be on November 28th at 7 pm et and can be watched on ESPN.
