LOOK: Drake gifts the Kentucky basketball team brand new shoes

Drake is helping the Cats rock Kentucky blue.

One of the most famous people in the world is the musician Drake, who happens to be close to the Kentucky basketball program. 

Kentucky hoops actually recently partnered with Drake's clothing brand October's Very Own, which Coach Cal is rocking in the picture below.

The Kentucky basketball social media pages recently posted a video of the Cats opening shoes that were gifted to the team by Drake himself.

This is such a good recruiting tool, as Drake, who has 143 million followers on Instagram texted Coach Cal that he got the team shoes. 

The team also got to swim at Drake's house when they were in Canada for Global Jam over the summer.

It's crazy how close Coach Cal and Drake are, and if I were a top recruit, this would be a big reason why I would want to play my college hoops for Calipari in Lexington.
