Kentucky Briefing: Kentucky basketball commit Somto Cyril tabbed a "top performer" at Overtime Elite's Pro Day

The Cats are getting a really good player in Somto Cyril.

The Cats currently only have one player committed in the 2024 class, and that would be six-foot-ten 240-pound center, Somto Cyril. 

Cyril is a four-star ranked 52nd in the 247Sports composite rankings. 

The big man from Atlanta, Georgia, recently played in the Overtime Elite Pro Day and was tabbed as one of the top performers by Jamie Shaw of On3. 

I have watched the tape on Cyril and constantly wonder how he is not ranked higher in the recruit rankings. 

There is no doubt in my mind by the time the rankings are finalized; he will be ranked as one of the best players in the 2024 class. 

There is a lot of time for the six-foot-ten center to develop, but I project him to have a big-time college career playing his college hoops in Lexington.
