PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will be able to recruit four-star cornerback Terhyon Nichols up close and personal when he makes his official visit this summer. Pitt will be his first stop on a string of official visits in June.

Nichols will visit Pitt during the second weekend of June, then make the trip east to visit Penn State the week after and Michigan will follow close behind, according to a report from On3's Chad Simmons. Nichols is expected to add more visits later. 

Nichols is a top-20 player in the state of Ohio, ranked as high as the No. 7 player in the state by On3, who also ranked him the No. 24 cornerback in the class and No. 187 overall player in the class. He holds offers from the Wolverines, Panthers and Nittany Lions, plus Kentucky, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Louisville, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Ole Miss Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Duke, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Illinois, West Virginia, Boston College and others.

Stephen Thompson graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from Pitt in April 2022 after spending four years as a sports writer and editor at The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh's independent, student-run newspaper.  He primarily worked the Pitt men's basketball beat, and filled in on coverage of football, volleyball, softball, gymnastics and lacrosse, in addition to other sports as needed.
