Gamecock Target Daniel Hill Announces Commitment Date

South Carolina Football target Daniel Hill has finalized a decision date.

Over the next six weeks, Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football program will learn where several important targets on their board will be making their college decision. Safety Malcolm Ziglar will be making his decision this following Monday, wide receiver Jonathan Paylor will be announcing on July 28th, and defensive back Jalewis Soloman plans to commit on August 5th.

You can now add another pivotal South Carolina target to the growing string of decision dates, as running back prospect Daniel Hill announced his finalists and a commitment date on Friday afternoon. While Hill publicly announced his commitment date of August 23rd on Instagram, he told national recruiting insiders like On3's Chad Simmons through some different interviews that his five finalists are Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Southern Cal'.

The Gamecocks are the last team Daniel Hill visited, which was for an official visit on the weekend of June 23rd through the 25th. The prevailing thought around the industry has been that Alabama and South Carolina are the two schools to watch here, and this particular quote he gave to On3 seems to back up this notion.

"As of right now, I'd probably say there are one or two schools that have really got my attention, but I really enjoyed the process. I'm giving everybody a chance to express to me and show me how much they really want me at their program."
