Ja'Marr Chase Discusses Offseason Throwing Sessions With Joe Burrow
CINCINNATI — The Bengals have a now famous connection between its playmakers and quarterback Joe Burrow. That chemistry doesn't happen by accident, and it has to stay sharp throughout each offseason.
Reporters caught up with Ja'Marr Chase this week and got his thoughts on how things are staying tuned in the passing game.
"We just try to get going in the summertime," Chase said about their throwing sessions with Burrow. "I know he works out on his own. The majority of time he's up here (in Cincinnati). Me, Tyler (Boyd), and Tee (Higgins) we all traveling. So that's the hardest thing is trying to get a meetup session to throw with Joe."
Chase noted they've already been throwing this spring as Burrow enters the 2023-24 season as the NFL's all-time leader in completion percentage (68.2%).
"Yes, it's happened already," Chase said. "It'll happen again. You know, this is something we always do. Just to stay on top of routes, stay on top of connections, stuff like that."
A "100%" healthy Chase should be a problem for NFL defenses all season long.
