Zac Taylor on Joe Burrow Playing Week 1: 'Take it Day-to-Day Right Now'
CINCINNATI — Bengals head coach Zac Taylor updated Joe Burrow's recovery on Monday, noting the quarterback is "day-to-day" heading into Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
"He's just gonna take it day-to-day right now," Taylor said when asked if Burrow will play this weekend.
Burrow suffered a strained calf on July 27 and returned to practice last week in a limited capacity.
"Just keep getting reps in you know, and I thought today was a really good day for him. It was encouraging to see and so we'll just take it one day at a time," Taylor said about the quarterback.
Burrow is 1-4 against the Browns in his career as Cincinnati looks to get off to a nice start during the 2023 season.
