Joe Burrow Notes Return of Mobility Against Cardinals: 'Felt Good Today'

Cincinnati beat Arizona 34-20 on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow and the Bengals lit up the Cardinals secondary on Sunday for 317 yards and three touchdowns as the quarterback recognized he's returning to full form.

The calf recovery did not suffer a setback as Cincinnati looks to mark a 3-3 record before the bye week.

"It was the first touchdown, first touchdown, I was able to slide right, you know, plant my leg, throw back across my body," Burrow said about the two-yard strike to Ja'Marr Chase. "After that, I felt like I was pretty good. Obviously, there's been a lot of moments that I thought I was good and it turned out not, so I just got to continue to keep getting healthier, keep working on it and keep working on my body."

Burrow ran for just seven yards, but it marked a season-high and a season-high in carries (four). More importantly, the quarterback looked mobile in the pocket for the first time all season.

"Big for that exact reason," Burrow said about the mobility returning. "Like I said, it's something I haven't been able to do for the last couple of weeks. So when your quarterback can't do that, can't steal first downs can't extend the play a little bit to find some guys, it's tough to move the ball. So it felt good today. I'm going to continue to get healthier, so I'm excited about that."

Stacking more good days is the goal as Cincinnati welcomes a formidable Seattle offense into Paycor Stadium this coming Sunday.
