Jake Browning is Putting Up Record-Setting Numbers for Bengals With Joe Burrow Out

Cincinnati is 2-1 since Browning took over as the starter.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals beat the Colts 34-14 on Sunday to improve to 7-6 on the season. Cincinnati has won two games in a row with Jake Browning at quarterback.

He's completed 69-of-87 (79.3%) passes for 856 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in three starts. He's also ran for 38 yards and two scores.

Browning is the first quarterback in NFL history to complete at least 78% of his passes and post a quarterback rating higher than 95 in his first three starts. Shoutout to Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network for finding that stat.

The 27-year-old has posted a 113.4 passer rating over that span. That ranks second in the NFL behind Brock Purdy. The Bengals need Browning to continue to play this way if they're going to make the playoffs for a third-straight season.
