Multiple Bengals Players Reached Out to Safety Nick Scott, Including Joe Burrow
CINCINNATI — The Bengals officially introduced safety Nick Scott on Monday afternoon at Paycor Stadium.
The 27-year-old was all smiles after signing his 3-year, $12 million contract. He walked into the news conference room at Paycor Stadium with his wife and three month old son Jackson.
Scott praised defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, safeties coach Robert Livingston and made it clear that winning was a major reason why he came to Cincinnati.
"And most importantly, that this team has a shot at winning a championship," he said.
He's already heard from multiple teammates, including Joe Burrow, Mike Hilton and Mike Thomas.
Burrow met Scott briefly inside the Bengals locker room on Monday.
Hilton added him to the defensive backs group chat.
"Basically what he (Hilton) said is, ‘You’ll find out pretty quick that as a group, we love to have fun, we love to joke around, but when it’s time to put those business suits on, we’re all business and we’re all about winning games,’ which I think that’s a perfect balance," Scott said. "That’s what a family is supposed to look like."
