NFL Insider Expects Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs to Get Selected in First Round of 2023 NFL Draft

The Bengals are in the market for a running back. They have the 28th overall pick in the draft.

CINCINNATI — We know the Bengals are expected to take a running back in the 2023 NFL Draft. Could they select one in the first round?

NFL insider Ian Rapoport thinks two running backs will be taken on day one of the draft.

"I think we could get two in the first round, actually," Rapoport said on the Pat McAfee Show

He went on to call Texas running back Bijan Robinson an "elite player" and wouldn't be surprised if he's off the board within the first 12 picks of the draft.

Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs is the other first round contender. He's someone that could fit nicely in Zac Taylor's offense alongside Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

"The comparison you get [for Gibbs] is Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey," Rapoport said. "Do everything, can play on all three downs, good, smart player. I think he probably goes in [round] one also."

The Bengals have the 28th pick and Duke Tobin didn't rule out any position, including running back, when asked about potential first round targets.

The 2023 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 27.
