Patriots Waive Former Cowboys and Bengals Quarterback Will Grier
CINCINNATI — The Patriots waived former Bengals and Cowboys quarterback Will Grier according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Grier signed with the Patriots earlier this season after spending time on Cincinnati’s practice squad.
Grier hasn’t played in a regular season game since 2019. The Bengals signed AJ McCarron shortly after Grier chose to join the Patriots.
McCarron will serve as Jake Browning’s backup with Joe Burrow out for the remainder of the season with a wrist injury.
