Charlie Jones Cleared, Will Practice Ahead of Bengals' Matchup With Texans

The rookie wide receiver could give Cincinnati's offense and special teams a boost on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — Bengals rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones was cleared on Wednesday and will practice. The team designated him to return from injured reserve. 

He can be activated at any point over the next 21-days. The Bengals have an open roster spot. 

Jones suffered a broken thumb on Sept. 29 against the Rams. He had surgery and missed the past five games. He has one catch for five yards this season. He also has a punt return for a touchdown and is averaging 18.8 yards per return this season.
