Bengals WR Tee Higgins Dealing With Fractured Rib, Hoping to Play Against Cardinals

Cincinnati's offense has struggled so far this season.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Tee Higgins suffered a fractured rib in the Bengals' 27-3 loss to the Titans on Sunday.

The 24-year-old missed the entire second half with the injury.

"Probably just landed wrong. The play that we thought that it happened, I just got up and thought by back was just tight and kept playing through it," Higgins said. "Then at halftime got the little X-ray or whatever and seen that it was fractured. It was the one that I caught and then the ground knocked it out."

Higgins suffered the injury in the first quarter, but played through the pain until halftime. That's what he'll have to do this weekend if he wants to suit up against the Cardinals.

"Really it's just up to me. Pain wise," Higgins said. "I might be able to go this week, I might not. You never know.

"I plan not to be out for a while. I plan to be back maybe this week, maybe next week."

Higgins has 12 receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns this season.
