Bengals Claim Former Cowboys Linebacker Devin Harper Off Waivers
CINCINNATI — The Bengals have one of the deeper linebacker rooms in the NFL, but that didn't stop them from adding to it on Friday.
They claimed Devin Harper off waivers after he was released by the Cowboys. Harper appeared in three games for Dallas this season, playing on special teams. He didn't get a snap on defense.
Veteran linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither is dealing with a knee injury. Maybe that issue is more serious than they thought. He's officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
To make room for Harper, the Bengals placed wide receiver Charlie Jones on injured reserve. He's dealing with a thumb injury and will miss at least four games.
Harper joins a linebacker room that includes Logan Wilson, Germaine Pratt, Markus Bailey, Joe Bachie and Davis-Gaither. Check out Archer's report below.
