Cleveland Browns wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is going to be sidelined for an undetermined amount of time due to blood clots. His teammate Amari Cooper believes that he is an inspiration for what he is dealing with.

“Most football players are so used to adversity and so used to ups and downs that it creates this toughness about us,” Cooper explained. “To where we can deal with anything. To where we can not know we’re dealing with something really extreme.”

Goodwin began feeling an uncomfortable feeling in his legs, as well as shortness of breath. Those symptoms led him to get checked out where it was revealed that he had the clots.

“It’s definitely inspirational. I’m hoping for the best,” said Cooper.

Currently, the Browns are at the Greenbrier in West Virginia to begin their 2023 training camp. Goodwin is with the team and that is a good sign. He will continue to be sidelined but being around his teammate surely could be a boost for him.

“Once I found out what he’s going through, you just pray for him. I’m praying for now and hoping for the best.”
