WR Amari Cooper Exits Browns Training Camp day 2 With Injury
Cleveland Browns will likely be without their top wide receiver for the next few days of training camp. Amari Cooper exited practice for an undisclosed reason early on, which was later revealed to be a day-to-day injury.
In the post-practice press conference general manager Andrew Berry revealed that Cooper had a minor tweak that will sideline him. The injury is going to be monitored on a day-to-day basis until his return.
In good news, the injury is not related to the core muscle surgery that Cooper had worked on this offseason. The Browns are still in a ramp-up period of practice, where they are slowly getting to the expected practice level, due to injuries such as this one.
Cooper played in all 17 games for the Browns last year and led the team with 1,160 receiving yards and a career-high nine touchdowns.
The Browns will practice Monday and Tuesday, before having Wednesday off. After practicing Thursday through Sunday, the team will head back to Berea.
