Browns GM Andrew Berry Won’t Rule out  a Return for RB Kareem Hunt

Kareem Hunt is currently a free agent and the Cleveland Browns general manager is not ready to rule out the possibility of him returning.
In this story:

At this point it looks like the Cleveland Browns will have a running back room without Kareem Hunt in it for the first time since 2018. Though, Browns general manager Andrew Berry is not ready to rule out the Browns and Hunt coming together once again.

“I don't know that we've necessarily shut the door on anything,” Berry said during his media availability on Friday. “We're not playing games until September.”

Right now the Browns have second-year running back Jerome Ford as the No. 2 back behind workhorse Nick Chubb. As a rookie, Ford didn’t get at ton of opportunities carrying the ball, mainly working as a return man. For clarity it was just eight carries for 12 yards for Ford last season, a very small sample size.

“We like the room that we have. Pleased with Jerome's (Ford) progress,” stated Berry.

Cleveland does planning on adding more edge players, whether it is through the draft or a veteran. Berry made that clear on Friday.

“I wouldn't rule out anything. One thing I've been pretty consistent about, any way we that can acquire someone who can help the team, we'll be open mind to it as long as it matches our priorities and it matches our resources we have at our disposal."
