Browns HC Kevin Stefanski Details the 'Dumbest' Play He's Ever Called
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski joined Pardon My Take for a sit-down interview and during it, he detailed his 'dumbest' play call ever. Stefanski spoke on the Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals when Amari Cooper threw an interception to safety Vonn Bell.
"There was a game this year playing the Bengals on Sunday night or Monday night," said Stefanski. "We had a pass that Amari Cooper threw. We handed the ball to Nick Chubb, he pitched it to Amari who is rolling out, we have a receiver running down the boundary."
Following that sequence, Cooper was pressured and the ball was thrown directly to Bell.
"I wanted to boo myself. I probably should have known, we try to give those trick plays names. We called it Michael Meyers from Halloween. Maybe don't make plays from serial killers. That was a lesson learned."
Browns and Stefanski have had luck in the past on trick plays. But this one wasn't one and it's one that Stefanski admits he would have boo'd himself for.
