Source: Browns Greg Newsome II Robbed at Gunpoint for Vehicle

Two Cleveland Browns players have had a rough two days with criminals in the Cleveland area.

Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II was robbed at gunpoint for his vehicle, a source tellsBrowns Digest. The robbery happened at Filter Experience on West Superior Avenue in Cleveland.

This makes the second Browns player to be the victim of a crime in the last two days. Demetric Felton had his car stolen on Sunday, per a report.

Newsome is in his third year in the NFL and has made 26 starts with the Browns over the past two years. Newsome, a Chicago native, is an intricate part of the Browns’ defense.

The incident is under investigation and the Browns cornerback is said to be okay following the robbery. At this time, there is a belief that Browns’ players are the target of a potential crime ring. 

Late Monday night, Newsome took to Twitter to speak out for the first time following the incident.
