Steelers CB Cory Trice Out for Season
LATROBE -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have shut down cornerback Cory Trice for the season after a right leg injury that he suffered during the second week of training camp.
Trice went down with a non-contact injury during the team's first padded practice. He was unable to stand on his own power and had to be carted off the field by trainers.
It's unknown what the injury is, but the team announced he will be placed on Injured Reserve, ending his 2023 season.
Trice was the team's seventh-round pick and had an opportunity to earn a 53-man roster spot this season.
In his place, the Steelers signed defensive backs Trenton Thompson and Isaiah Dunn to their 90-man roster. Thompson comes from San Diego State, where he recorded 187 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and 21 pass deflections. Dunn comes from Oregon State where he recorded 115 tackles and 18 pass deflections.
The team also announced running back Alfonzo Graham has been waived/injured.
