49ers Sign Former Steelers WR Anthony Miller

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout has found a new home.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Anthony Miller is headed out west, signing with the San Francisco 49ers, according to The Score's Jordan Schultz.

Miller spent the last two seasons with the Steelers, playing on their practice squad. He played just one game in Pittsburgh, catching a pass for two years.

He was released this spring after dealing with a reported hamstring injury, and did not signed anywhere prior to the 49ers.

The former second-round pick for the Chicago Bears has played 50 games in his career, catching 140 passes for 1,589 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has not played an active game since 2021.

Miller also has return capabilities and could look to replace another former Steeler, Ray-Ray McCloud. McCloud is sidelined with a wrist injury that could hold him out for multiple weeks. Miller has 183 kick return yards and 55 punt return yards in his career.
