CINCINNATI — The transfer portal is flowing with college basketball players, and Cincinnati is turning over plenty of stones in its search for more talent. Let's touch on more of the transfers UC is contacting starting with NC State sophomore guard Cam Hayes.

Hayes averaged seven points and 2.1 assists last season. He fell off from a strong freshman campaign but still finished top-20 among ACC players in assist rate. He shot just 33.5% from the field last season. Hayes has heard from schools like Pittsburgh, Arizona State, and Iona.

Next, we have Alabama freshman center Alex Tchikou. He played just five total minutes last season. Despite struggling to get on the court, the 6-foot-11 talent was the 65th-ranked player nationally in the class of 2021. He's heard from schools like Cal, Wake Forest, and Georgetown.

From a freshman forward to a senior guard. Cincinnati is also in touch with South Carolina transfer Erik Stevenson. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds last season. His 2.8 assists per game ranked 16th in the conference but posted just a 50.6% true shooting rate.

Stevenson is hearing from schools like Texas A&M, Arizona State, and Missouri.

Cincinnati is in talks with another plus-sized guard in Vanderbilt's Jamaine Mann. The 6-foot-6 transfer posted 4.6 points and 3.5 rebounds last season. He is hearing from teams like Winthrop, Georgia Southern, and Appalachian State.

Last on this update is Iowa State transfer center, Xavier Foster. He did not play in 2022 but averaged four points in seven games across the 2021 season. He was the 78th-ranked recruit in 2020 and could bloom in a different situation. Foster is hearing from schools like Missouri, Dayton, and Arizona State.
