UC, Xavier Alumni Split Pair of Scrimmages at Crosstown Collaborative
CINCINNATI — The first Crosstown Collaborative Alumni Game in the history of UC and Xavier's rivalry ended up successful on Saturday night. Alums and current players from both schools' men's basketball programs got together for a series of skill competitions and a pair of scrimmages at Cintas Center.
Xavier's Souley Baum scorched the Three-Point Competition with a high of 18. His teammate Adam Kunkel came in second (17) and UC's Jeremiah Davenport finished third (15).
The Bearcat alums then took over the court and won comfortably in the opening scrimmage 41-29. Xavier's team fought back to capture the second round 31-26. Nasty Nati faces the Fort Wayne Champs to start The Basketball Tournament on Monday night and has plenty of professional talent ready to showcase the patented UC style with their old teammates.
The UC crew gets rolling on ESPN3 at 6 p.m. ET during Day One of play in the Xavier Region. Check out some sights and sounds from FOX 19's Joe Danneman and Bearcat Journal's Chad Brendel.
