Wes Miller Updates CJ Fredrick's Injury Recovery: 'Moving at a Snail's Pace'

Cincinnati has gone over two weeks without the sharpshooter.

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati hoops head coach Wes Miller updated CJ Fredrick's (hamstring) "snail pace" recovery during his 700 WLW coaches show on Thursday.

Fredrick has not played since the win over Stetson on Dec. 22.

"We're moving at a snail's pace," Miller said about the recovery. "I saw him shoot a jumper today. Hopefully, we'll get him back soon. It's forcing other guys to step up and grow."

Miller said the team expects to have Fredrick back at some point this season, but no defined timetable is in place. It's another rough footnote in a college career unfortunately plagued by injury. Fredrick is currently second on the team with a 135.4 offensive rating.

Expect Josh Reed to continue getting extra minutes with Fredrick on the mend.
