Alec Pierce, Michael Young Jr. Flash Skills Early in Colts Training Camp

The two receivers are trying to be the next stable of weapons for veteran QB Matt Ryan.

CINCINNATI — Former UC players got plenty of praise during Back Together Saturday at NFL training camps around the league.

Starting in Indianapolis, Alec Pierce and Michael Young Jr. impressed onlookers all day.

"Alec Pierce is gonna be in the mix at WR," Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer tweeted. "Really good complement to Michael Pittman—a little longer, lankier, faster than the physical MP."

Pierce has been a coach's favorite throughout the voluntary period and he should be a great target for Matt Ryan on deep crossers and longer developing routes.

“He’s light years (ahead) of me from when I was at this stage," Pittman told reporters. "He’s so smart… and a guy that young going up against Kenny (Moore) or Stephon (Gilmore)?… I think he’s doing great.”

Young made his case to make the Colts' roster sound louder with plays like this on Saturday.
