CINCINNATI — Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder is expected to be one of the top signal-callers taken in this month's NFL Draft.

The 22-year-old helped Cincinnati reach the College Football Playoff for the first time in school history.

Ridder was asked what song he wanted to hear during a recent appearance on NFL Network

"Avril Lavigne's 'Complicated' because I'm more of an early 2000s guy and this whole process is kinda complicated too," Ridder said. "That was a song I used to jam too in the car with my mom all the time in the car when I was a kid."

The sports world reacted to Ridder's comments and it got Lavigne's attention. The star signer responded with the "rock on" emoji.
