Vance Joseph: Myjai Sanders 'Playing Really Fast' Early in Training Camp

CINCINNATI — Plenty of former Bearcats impressed during the NFL's Back Together Saturday, and Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Myjai Sanders even got his defensive coordinator's attention.

Vance Joseph had good things to say about Sanders this past weekend and believes he'll have an impact on the team's goals this season.

“Myjai right now is playing really fast and you can see his natural pass-rush ability,” Joseph said. “He’s going to help us rush the passer on sub-downs for sure. Cam (Thomas) right now is trying to figure out how to play with his power and grow in that area.”

The Cardinals selected Thomas 87th overall in this year's draft, while Sanders went 100th, but the latter is progressing faster in the red & white.

“They both should help us win this year in certain packages,” Joseph added.

Sanders played with his hand in the ground, and as a roving rusher at UC—that versatility appears to be paying off early in his NFL career.
