CINCINNATI — One of UC's own is playing in the 2022 MLB All-Star Game. Former Bearcats star and current Chicago Cub Ian Happ is taking part in this year's Midsummer Classic.

The outfielder boasts a .276 batting average with eight home runs, 23 doubles, and 40 RBIs this season. Happ finished his UC career with top-five all-time marks in walks (third, 128), stolen bases (fifth, 56), and on-base percentage (third, .463).

The Cubs selected him ninth overall in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Fans can watch Happ in action during the game on Tuesday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
