CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball is welcoming in four-star 2024 guard Jase Richardson for an official visit on Sept. 23 when the football team opens Big 12 play at home against Oklahoma.

According to 247Sports, Richardson is the 49th-ranked prospect nationally and the seventh-best combo guard. His dad Jason attended Michigan State and played in the NBA from 2001-15.

UC staffers watched him at the first Nike EYBL summer session in late April and offered him shortly after.

Richardson has a nice package of dribble-pullup moves that he can access at multiple levels. He likely has to stack some more weight in the monster factory, but flashes a nice motor, jump shot form, and Big-12 caliber athleticism. He could be a deadly shooter in transition as a part of Wes Miller's balanced, motion offense. Flipping to football, UC offered 2025 three-star defensive lineman Samuel Cohen out of Hugenot (Virginia).

According to 247Sports, Cohen is the 36th-best defensive lineman nationally and the 11th-best player in Virginia.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound talent holds seven other offers from schools like East Carolina and Georgia.
