Three-Star 2023 Forward Arrinten Page Visits UC

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats basketball team welcomed another big-time visitor to campus this week. According to Bearcat Journal's Chad Brendel, three-star 2023 forward Arrinten Page out of Wheeler (Georgia) visited UC on Monday.

A teammate with top 2023 UC target Isaiah Collier, Page burst onto the recruiting scene this spring with help from the EYBL circuit. According to 247Sports composite, Page is the 158th ranked prospect in the class and the 20th-ranked center. He holds 11 offers from schools like Florida, UCLA, and Georgia Tech, one of which came from UC on April 22.

Courting Page should only help the Bearcats' pursuit of Collier, who many experts are boiling down to UCLA and UC. It was a similar story with Rayvon Griffith and could be happening again here with Page. Mick Cronin may have left Cincinnati, but he's still relevant in recruiting plans.

As for Page's game, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound specimen knows how to use that frame well on the inside. His footwork within five feet of the rim is advanced for his age, and he has all of the athletic tools to turn into the next great stretch big man for Cincinnati. His jump shot has a nice quick release, and he's not afraid to shoot it from all three levels. That being said, his form is a bit sloppy and tends to chicken wing a bit on his right elbow.

Shooting form is luckily one of the easiest things to improve as a player. What you can't teach is smooth operation in traffic and an evident connection with Collier. The five-star point guard fed his big man easy looks and alley-oops all season long at Wheeler. Snagging both of these players would be a massive accomplishment for Wes Miller's very early tenure at UC.
